A. Campbell Scott, 82, of Box 595 Montcalm, died Sunday in a Bluefield hospital.

Born at Montcalm, he was the son of the late Rev. David M. Scott and Nannie Mullin Scott. He was a graduate of Concord College, he attended Marshall University, a member of Protestant faith, a member of Bailey Masonic Lodge No. 137, a resident of Montcalm for 16 years, retired from N & W Railroad where he worked as a Telegraph Operator and he was a former school teacher in McDowell and Raleigh counties.

Survivors: brother, Edwin D. Scott of Chesapeake, Va., sisters, Gaye Scott and Lois Nichols both of Montcalm and Olive Conwell of Bluefield; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with the Rev. John W. Bolton officiating. Burial will be Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Bailey Masonic Lodge No. 137 will conduct graveside services.
