MRS. MARY MARTIN FUNERAL SERVICE TO BE TOMORROW
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Martin, 58, 1408 Blizzard Dr., who died yesterday morning in St. Joseph's hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the South Parkersburg EUB Church on Rayon Dr.
The Rev. C. V. Tate will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Thelma Browning, Pat Parsons, Hazel Roth, Jean Smith, Janie Carmichael and Mary Rose Halpenny.
Mrs. Martin, who died after a long illness, was the wife of James E. Martin, owner and operator of Martin's restaurant on Blizzard Dr.
She was a member of the South Parkersburg EUB Church.
Born July 18, 1903, at Metz, Marion county, she was a daughter of the late Charles Halpenny and Mrs. Tillie Glover Halpenny, now living in Enterprise. She had lived in Parkersburg since 1928.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a son, James P. [sic] Martin, Morris Plains, N. J.; a daughter, Mrs. Adrian Headley, Parkersburg; two grandchildren; six brothers, Arley Halpenny, Ida May, W. Va., Harvey Halpenny, Monongah, George Halpenny, Peoria [sic], W. Va.; Howard Halpenny, Ohio, Charles and Herbert Halpenny, Enterprise.
Three sisters also survive: Mrs. Effie Channel, Parkersburg, Mrs. Reva Horner, Wintersville, O., and Mrs. Anna Crim, Enterprise.
Friends may call at the Shaver & Co. funeral home until noon Friday. The body then will be taken to the church to lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m.
