West Virginia Obituaries - 1944 - I. B. McLain

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Leavitt funeral home for I. B. McLain, aged 84, who died Sunday evening in Columbus, Ohio. Interment will be made in Mount Olivet cemetery.

Mr. McLain was a former resident of Parkersburg and Rockport, but he had made his home in Columbus with his daughter, Mrs. C. V. Sams, for the past year. He was born at Rockport, and up until fifteen years ago he had been employed by the Parkersburg Mill company. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Two sons and four daughters survive him, they being Charles McLain and Harry McLain of Parkersburg, Mrs. Donald Neff of Columbus, Mrs. C. V. Sams of Columbus, Mrs. Emma Riblett and Miss Mildred McLain, both of this city.

There are also several sisters and brothers, Mrs. Maggie Ludwig of Rockport, Mrs. Clara Blaua of South Carolina, Mrs. Mary Archer of this city, John McLain of Rockport, Amos of Elizabeth and Eber of Parkersburg. Three grandsons of Mr. McLain are in military service overseas.
