HARVEY B. SCOTT of Oakville Dies

Oakville, (Grays Harbor County, WA) (Special) ~ Harvey B. Scott, 85, retired logger and long-time Oakville resident, died this morning (21 January 1955) at the Elma Hospital.

Mr. Scott was born January 4, 1870, at Saltville, VA., and had lived in Oakville since 1922. He was a member of Primitive Baptist church.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Bertie (Grace) Scott, at the home; three sons, David D. and Jesse Scott, both with the air force at Madera, Calif., and Ambrose Scott, with the air force at Spokane; four daughters, Mrs. Lottie Bonner, Medford, Ore, Mrs. Albert Williams, Montesano; Mrs. Gilbert Baker, Elma, and Mrs. Opal Fricke, Leaburg, Ore; four brothers, Jake, Duhring. W. Va.; Frank, Falls Mills, Va.; L. C. Scott, Central Point, Ore.; and Robert, Roanoke, Va.; and two sisters, Mrs. Dixie Casey, Old Lyme, Conn., and Mrs. Callie Shupe, Meadowview, Va.; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Whiteside company.


Harvey was laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery in Centralia, Lewis County, Washington.
