Robert Clark Sergeant died Saturday, October 22, 1938, at the age of 72. He was born April 13, 1866, in Illinois to Isaac and Sylvia (Edgbert) Sergeant. He came to Washington 54 years ago. He married Mary M. Hickey on September 21, 1890.

He is survived by his widow; two sons, Fred C., of Olympia, and Thomas of Shelton; two daughters Mrs. Georgia Buckley, of Seattle, and Mrs. Myrtle Thorp, of Bellingham; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and a brother Phillip of Shelton.

Rev. Claude H. Lorimer will conduct funeral services at the Mills and Mills Chapel on Tuesday at 1:30, with interment in Odd Fellows cemetery.
