Washington Obituaries - 1927 - James Finley Edgbert

James Finley Edgbert aged 70 died October 6, 1927, at the home of his daughter Grace (Mrs. Ben) Dodge. He was born September 6, 1857, in Illinois to Fletcher Edgbert and Almira Watson. He came to Washington Territory, in February of 1889. He was a gardener by trade and a talented fiddle player.

He married Ida C. Leach on March 25, 1883 in Pulaski County, Indiana. They were divorced circa 1902.

Survivors included besides his daughter, a son James M. Edgbert of Hartstein, a brother Frank W. Edgbert of Olympia, and a sister Sylvia (Mrs. Isaac) Sergeant of Kamilche.

Funeral services were held from the Mills Funeral Chapel on Sunday Oct. 9 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. R. Lee Bussabarger officiating. Interment at the I. O. O. F. Cemetery.
