Almerion Adams Passed Away

Almerion Adams passed peacefully away at his home in Shelton Wednesday evening, after battling with the pulmonary destroyer for several years, and being confined in the house for nearly a year. Throughout his long illness he displayed grit and never gave up until a short time before his death. His patient wife and friends ministered to his wants and made his declining days as comfortable as possible. The funeral will take place from the family home today, Friday, at 2 o'clock, under the auspices of the Odd Fellows, of which the deceased was a life-long member. A brief ritual service will be given at the home, and concluding at the grave.

Almerion Adams was born in Ohio, Feb. 4th, 1844, and was 55 years of age. He came to Mason County from Michigan in 1876, with Horace Dunbar and was married to Miss Abbie Dunbar New Year's eve 1881. Besides the wife, three children Henry, Milton and Cecil, are left too mourn his loss. Alme. Adams was known for his integrity and sturdy independence to the last. Since there was no help for him, it is perhaps all for the best that death should come to his relief.
