Obituaries - South Carolina - 1923 - Van Smith Bailey
|
On Tuesday May 29th, 1923, the death angel visited the home of Mr. and
Mrs. J. H. Bailey and claimed for its victim their darling little baby who
was born on the 21st of May 1923, making its stay on earth 8 days. The poor
little darling suffered very much. All was done for it that loving hands
could do, but none can stay the cold hand of death. When God calls us we
must obey and hope to meet another day. Sleep on dear little Van Smith and
take thy rest.
God called thee home. He loved thee best. Dear little darling thou hast
left us never more will we see thy face. But we hope some day to meet thee
in a happy Dwelling place. The funeral was conduced by Rev. F. C. Helms. The
remains was laid to rest in the New Cemetry.
