Mrs. George E. Bonner
Mrs. Louise S. (Stephens) Bonner died in Allentown Sunday September 13, 1953, aged 65.She was the wife of George E. Bonner. She was born in Hoboken, NJ, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Stephens. She is survived by her husband, daughter June (Mrs. Donald Hendricks) of Allentown, Mae (Mrs. Kenneth Sperry) of Belmar, NJ, and 4 grandchildren. She was preceeded into death by son, Cpl. Herbert Charles Bonner (KIA, WWII), and 4 brothers, Charles, Walter, Irvin, and Harvey Stephens.
Joseph Drauch died Sunday September, 1953 in Cooperstown, RI, aged 69. He was the husband of Teresa (Krobogh) Drauch. He was born in Poppendorf, Austria, a son of Andrew and Teresa (Decker) Drauch. He is survived by his wife, daughter Mrs. Teresa Wunderlich of New York City, daughter Mrs. Emma Schrammel of New York City, sister Mrs. Teresa Schlaner of Emmaus, RI and 2 grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by 2 daughters and a brother.
Mrs. Mary Emma Huff
Mrs. Mary Emma Huff died Saturday, September 12, 1953, aged 67. She was the widow of Charles Huff. She was born August 5, 1886 in Elizabethtown, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Balmer. She is survived by son Charles, Jr., son Robert B. of Quackertown, sister Miss Jennie Balmer of Elizabethtown, brothers Roy and John, both of Elizabethtown, and 1 grandchild.
John Kruczek, a native of Poland, died Sunday, September 13, 1953. He was a son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Kruczek. He came to this country in 1904 and is survived by a brother, Jacob Kruczek of Coaldale.
George Maurer died Sunday, September 13, 1953, aged 63. He was born in Audenried the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Maurer. He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Strain, son, George Philip Maurer, daughter Mrs. Ruth Lang, RN of Bethlehem, brothers Jacob and Benjamin Maurer, sister, Mrs. Florence McPolan of Dallas, TX, sister Mrs. Bertha Hoffman of Pittsburgh, and 3 grandchildren.
Mrs. Edith Oney
Mrs. Edith Oney (widow of Horace Oney, d. 1947), aged 71, died Sunday, Sep 13, 1953. She was born in Lanna, the daughter of the late Charles Deubler and Mrs. Anna Starner Deubler of Pocono. She was first married to Peter O. Ziegler who died in 1930. Surviving are her mother, son Alvin C. Ziegler of Allentown, son Robert W. Ziegler of Canadensis, sister Mrs. Edward Heiler of Pocono, borther Horace Deubler of Jamaica, Long Island, brother Floyd Deubler of Easton, brother Lewis Deubler of Waymail, sister Mrs. Roy Heller of Bristol, brother Orville Deubler of Mt. Pocono, sister Mrs. August Kuchenbeakch of Kunkletown, brother Stanley Deubler of Pocono Lake, three grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Edward W. Smith
Edward W. Smith, died Sunday, September 13, aged 65. He is survived by his wife, daughter Mrs. Edward D. McGinley of Pittsburgh, daughter Mrs. Roberta S. Davis of Philadelphia, son William G. Smith of New York City, and sister Miss Mary A. Smith of Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Katherine Striba
Mrs. Katherine Striba died Saturday, September 12, 1953, aged 70. She was the widow of Stephen Striba. She was born in Czechoslovakia. She is survived by son, George B. of Bangor, a daughter Mrs. Oscar Bauer of Quackertown, 11 grandchildren, sisterMrs. Stephen Oklisky of Freemansburg, and sister Eva of Czechoslovakia.
John S. Szakmeister
John S. Szakmeister died Sunday, September 13, 1953 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Szakmeister in Bethlehem. He was born Sep 22, 1877 the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Szakmeister in Boden, Hungary. He came to this country in 1905 and is survived by 3 sons, Joseph, John J., and ?, and 5 grandchildren.
Edward Texter died Friday, September 11, 1953. He was born Jan 5, 1942 in Sellersville, the son of Jacob Y. and Cora Harner Texter of Quackertown. He is survived by brothers Ralph, Perkasie, Lamar and Stanley, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Elmer Harner of Shelly.
