Dr. Underwood Cochran
Atlantic City Hears of the Death of the "Singing Assemblyman"

Atlantic City, Dec. 25 - News was received here today of the death of Dr. Underwood Cochran, a city commissioner and former member of Assembly. During his two years as a member of the House at Trenton Doctor Cochran became known as the "singing assemblyman."

He was a vice president of the Chamber of Commerce and one of the founders of the shore Rotary Club, as well as an office holder in the Moose, the Eagles and other fraternities. He married a daughter of Joseph Fralinger, of Schwenksville, Pa.

Patrick O'Neil

Patrick O'Neil, president of P. O'Neil & Co., paper dealers, of 408 South Sixth street, identified with many financial enterprises in Philadelphia, died yesterday of heart disease in his home, 1528 South Broad street. He was sixty-nine years old.

Mr. O'Neil was a native of Ireland but came to Philadelphia before attaining his majority. He organized the paper company, of which he always has been the active head, more than forty years ago. He was a director of the Continental Equitable Title and Trust Co. and the Home Life Insurance Co.

Until recent years Mr. O'Neil was active in the various Irish societies and served as treasurer of the Land League during the years when that organization was at the height of its power.

He leaves a son, Vincent; a daughter Mrs. Bertram J. Martin, and six grandchildren, all residents of Philadelphia.

David Langsdorf

David Langsdorf, a member of the firm Langsdorf Cigar Co., died on Tuesday after a long illness. He was a member of the Mercantile and Manufacturers' clubs. He will be buried from the home of his nephew, J. L. Langsdorf, 1805 Spring Garden street, today at noon.
