Mrs. Anna Schaeffer
Mrs. Anna Schaeffer, widow of Nathan Schaeffer, died yesterday morning at the home of her son, William Schaeffer, No. 539 North Seventh street, aged 87 years. She was ill three weeks. She is survived by an only son, William Schaeffer, and three grandchildren, Claude, Robert and Helen Schaeffer. Mrs. Schaeffer's maiden name was Gebhard. She is also survived by one sister at Quakertown. The funeral will take place on Friday afternoon, Rev, Dr. A. R. Bartholomew officiating.
Ellen, the wife of Allen McGady, of No. 147 Tilghman street, aged 78 years, died last evening. The deceased was a member of the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and a member of the Rosary Society of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. The husband and these children survive: Amandus, of Chicago; Daniel, of St. Louis; William, of San Francisco; Mother Boneventure, of Buffalo; John and Mrs. Allen McGee, of this city; Mrs. Morris Ferry, of Philadelphia; Edward, of Chambersburg.
Mrs. Charles W. Cooper
Mrs. Ida C. Cooper, widow of Charles W. Cooper, for many years cashier and later president of the Allentown National Bank, died on Tuesday in a hospital in Philadelphia. She was in the fifty-second year of her age and was the third wife of Mr. Cooper. She was a daughter of the late Addison Erdman, who was a well-known citizen of Allentown, and is survived by her mother, a brother, Enes Erdman, of Tarrytown, N. Y., and four sisters, Mrs. R. H. Kline, wife of the rector of Grace Episcopal Church, and Ella M. and Sattie Erdman, of this city, and Mrs. Haight, of Lebanon. The funeral will be private with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Coopersburg.
Jedeman Silfies died at Northampton of Bright's disease, aged 52 years. He is survived by his wife and eight children. The funeral will be held today at 9:30 a. m. Services and interment at the Howertown Church, Rev. C. J. Becker officiating.
Mrs. Louise Berreth
Mrs. Louise Berreth, wife of George Berreth, of No. 628 North Front street, died early yesterday morning of paralysis. She was 52 years of age and is survived by her husband and these children: George, Hannah, Florence and Minnie Berreth, Mrs. John Bower, Mrs. James Buckley and Mrs. Conrad Brucker. Her maiden name was Kline. The funeral will take place on Saturday afternoon, Rev. G. F. Gardner officiating.
Mrs. M. Rothenberger
Mrs. M. Rothenberger, of near Lehigh Church, died yesterday morning. She resided with James Long. The funeral will be held Friday forenoon, Rev. N. W. Helffrich officiating.
Peter Donnelly, sexton at St. Barnard's Catholic Church, Easton, for the past twenty-two years, died at his home, No. 121 South Fifth street, Easton, at 12:20 o'clock yesterday morning of a complication of ailments, after an illness of four months. He was 56 years of age. Mr. Donnelly's death was no doubt hastened by the terrible heat of the past few days. The deceased is survived by his widow and two brothers - Thomas and Daniel, both living in Ireland. He was a native of County Westmeath, Ireland, and lived at Easton for thirty-six years. The funeral will be held at 8 o'clock Friday morning. Interment in St. Bernard's Cemetery, South Easton.
Mrs. Susannah Stattler
Susanah, widow of Jacob Stattler, died yesterday morning at her residence, No. 22 South Fourth street, of paralysis, aged 80 years. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Baer, of Macungle. Her husband died nine years ago and she was a resident of this city for the past 42 years. She is survived by one son, Alvin, of Riegelsville, and one daughter, Mrs. Tilghman Jacoby of this city. The following sisters and brothers also survive: Mrs. John Jacoby, Emaus; Mrs. Mary Gebhard, Quakertown; Mrs. Stephen Tool, Ashley, Ia.; Mrs. Joseph Kelfinger, Niles, O.; and William Baer, of Bethlehem.
