Viola M. Bosworth, 80, of Chillicothe, died at 3:45 pm
Monday Dec. 7, 1998, in Heartland of Chillicothe, following an extended illness. She was born May 13, 1918, in Ross county, to the late George D. and Oda O. Shasteen Arledge. She was married July 30, 1949, to C.L. "Jack" Bosworth, who survives. Also surviving by previous marriage, are daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Robert Litchfield, of Johnstown, Ohio, and Judith and John Tomlinson, of Chillicothe; grandchildren Daniel and Brad Litchfield and Jeffrey Conard; great-grandchildren, Heather, Kristin and Berlynn Litchfield; sister, Blanche Bliss, of Chillicothe; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Bosworth attended the Brookside Chruch of Christ in Christian Union. She was a 1936 graduate of Chillicothe High School and had attended Ohio University in Athens. She retired in 1980 as a medical secretary at the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she had worked for 35 years. She was a member of the Aerican Legion Post 757 Auxiliary, N.A.R.F.E. and had been an active volunteer in the Vial of Life program. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998, in the Ware Funeral Home, with Rev. David Dean and Rev. Dorothy Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery, Pickaway County. Friends may call at Ware's from 6-8 pm Wednesday.
