MRS ARNTZ DIES SUDDENLY WHILE VISITING HOSPITAL
Mrs William P. (Helen) Arntz, 73, 358 Kenilworth SE, an active mother of Mrs Frank G. Guarnieri,
wife of Dr. Guarnieri of Warren, was stricken suddenly and died at 3:30 p.m.
Tuesday at St Joseph's Hospital where she had gone to visit a friend. Mrs
Arntz and her husband had completed their visit and were leaving the building
when Mrs Arntz collapsed in the lobby and died shortly after. Services will
be held at St Mary's Church at 10 a.m. Friday. Mrs Arntz was active in many
church and social organizations. She had many friends and was held in high
esteem by all who knew her. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary
Society, the Catholic Daughters of America, a member and first president of
the Warren Deanery, National Council of Catholic Women, and a member of the
Cloverleaf Club, the Columbian Bridge Club, the Good Samaritan Guild, the
Visiting Nurses Assn.,and the Mercier Literary Circle. Mrs Arntz was born Dec
2, 1884, in Youngstown, the daughter of Patrick and Sarah Egan Timlin. She
resided in Warren for the past 35 years. Mr Arntz is a retired Republic
Steel employee. In 1909 she married William P. Arntz who survives. Also
surviving are: Two daughters, Mrs Frank G. Guarnieri, Warren, and Miss
Dorothy Arntz, at home; a sister, Mrs William Ridinger, Youngstown; and five
grandchildren. The body was removed to the Gillen Funeral Home where friends
may call Wednesday and Thursday evening. Members of the Altar and Rosary
Society and the Catholic Daughters of America will meet at the funeral home
at 7:30 p.m. Thursday for recitation of the Rosary.
