DEATH OF WELL KNOWN WOMAN
Mrs. Jonathan Lodwick, for many years a respected resident of Mineral Ridge
and Ohltown passed away last evening at 5 o'clock, death following an illness
of six weeks with sugar diabetes. Mrs. Lodwick was born in North Lima,
sixty-one years ago, her maiden name being Miss Mary Mentzer. She was married
to Jonathan Lodwick thirty-two years ago and since that time resided in
Ohltown and recently took up residence at Mineral Ridge.
She was a devoted member of the First M. E. church at Ohltown and active in
it's interests and leaves a large circle of friends who extend their sympathy
to her bereaved family. Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. W. W.
Giffen of Niles, Miss Ella Lodwick at home, a step son, Sherman Lodwick, who
resides in the west and a step daughter, Mrs. Valerie Burton of Struthers;
five sisters, Mrs. J. B. Wightman and Mrs. F.E. Taylor, Youngstown, Mrs. J.
H. Caldwell, Columbiana, Mrs. Henry Paulin, New Springfield, Mrs. Jacob
Wolfgang, North Lima and three brothers, W.E. Mentzer, North Lima; Emmet
Mentzer, Columbiana, and Cyrus Mentzer, Youngstown.
Funeral Services will be held at the home at Mineral Ridge at 2 o'clock on
Saturday and at 2:30 at the Methodist church at Ohltown. Interment will be
made in the cemetery at Ohltown.
