Nathan Lodwick died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. John
Seagraves, 335 Calvin Street, at 5:30 p.m. Monday of infirmities of advanced age.
Mr. Lodwick was born in Austintown township 78 years ago, was ason of Conrad
and Mary Lodwick, pioneer German residents of that community. He spent his
early life in Austintown and Mineral Ridge but later came to this
city and for 25 years lived in Calvin Street. Since the death of his wife seven
years ago, he made his home with his daughter. He was long employed
in the Carnegie Steel Co. mills as a track foreman but had been retired several
years. He belonged to the Latter Day Saints. Surviving are one son and four
daughters, Milo Lodwick, Mrs. John Seagraves, city; Mrs. Almus Harding,
Canfield; Mrs. Peter Bowman, Mineral Ridge; Mrs. Ellis Webb, Warren, also 24
grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters, Frank and
William Lodwick, Mrs. William Bowman, Mrs. John Helmer, Mineral Ridge;
Arlington and Sheldon Lodwick, Niles.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday from the residence
with interment in Belmont Park Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
