Obituaries - NY - 1962 - George R. Hill

Long Branch, NJ, Oct 3
George R. Hill, illustrator and cartoonist, who formerly did work for Warner Brothers,
Paramount, and Universal Pictures, died yesterday at Monmouth Medical Center here.
He was 57 years old and lived at 201 Union Avenue.
Mr. Hill had worked on the cartoon series of Popeye, Bugs Bunny, Betty Boop, Porky Pig,
Daffy Duck, Little Lulu and Elmer Fudd.
He won several Freedom Foundation awards for original patriotic drawings and had done
art work for the army at Fort Monmouth.
His mother, Mrs. Josephine Rogers Hill, survives.
