Nicholas Sicard, French Painter, Dies
Lyons, France, Jan 3 - Nicholas Sicard, celebrated painter and Director
of the National School of Fine Arts here, died today.
M. Sicard was a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor and a member of the
Academy of Lyons, and formerly was President of the Lyons Society of Fine
Arts. Many of his best works were purchased by the State. M. Sicard was
born at Lyonsn 3 - Nicholas Sicard, celebrated painter and Director
of the National School of Fine Arts here, died today.
M. Sicard was a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor and a member of the

Arts. Many of his best works were purchased by the State. M. Sicard was
born at Lyons in 1847.
