Paul Adam, Novelist Dies in Paris
Paris - Jan 2 - Paul Adam, the novelist, died today. He was born in Paris
on Dec 7, 1862, and was an officer of the Legion of Honor.
Among the works of M. Adam was a series of novels in sequence, giving a
history of the campaigns of Napoleon, the Restoration, and the government of
Louis Philippe, the first of which, "La Force," was published in 1899. His novel
"Stephanie," publis today. He was born in Paris
on Dec 7, 1862, and was an officer of the Legion of Honor.

"Stephanie," published in 1913, was a forceful plea for marriages arranged by
parents as against those resulting purely from a romantic attachment.
