NY Obits - New York Daily Tribune - March 28, 1901 - William J. Murtagh

William J. Murtagh, at one time proprietor of the National Republic, and one of the best known citizens in the District of Columbia, died at Washington yesterday from the effects of an apoplectic stroke sustained last Monday. He was about sixty-three years old. Mr. Murtagh was prominent under the old Municipal Government of Washington.
