New York Obituaries - 1899 - Samuel Perry Weir |
Samuel Perry Weir died Sunday at his home, 307 Lenox Avenue, after a lingering
illness. His death was due to a complication of disease. Mr. Weir was fifty years
old., and was born in this city. He was prominent in marine insurance circles. He
was Secretary of the American Branch of the British and Foreign Marine Insurance
Company of Liverpool, and Secretary and Treasurer of the American and Foreign
Marine Insurance Company. He was a member of the National Board of Marine
Underwriters. He was also a member of the Harlem Bowling Club and of New York Council,
Royal Arcanum. Mr. Weir is survived by a widow and one son. The funeral
services will be held to-morrow morning in Holy Trinity Protestant Episcopal Church,
at One Hundred and Twenty-second Street and Lenox Avenue. Burial will be in Woodlawn.
