EMMA W. BENNETT (daughter of James P.B. Bennett and Margaret Polhemus Conover), 97, of Old Bridge Township, died yesterday at Summer Hill Nursing Home, Old Bridge.

Born in Colts Neck Township, she lived in Freehold for many years before moving to Old Bridge five years ago.

Miss Bennett was a salesclerk for Bernard's Dress shop, Freehold, for many years, retiring in 1953.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, is in charge of arrangements.
