Hanaway, Harry, of Summit, N.J. on Monday April 12, 1976, husband of the late Mae Hansen Hanaway, father of Miss Audrey E. Hanaway, brother of Mrs. Edna McElhose, Mrs. Vivian Zukswert, Mrs. Hattie Owens, Mrs. Lillian Bury and Mrs. Lorraine Fentress. Relatives are kindly invited to attend the funeral service at Restland Memorial Park Chapel, East Hanover, N.J. on Thursday, April 15, at 11 A.M. Friends may also call at SMITH AND SMITH (SUBURBAN), 415 Morris Ave,. Springfield, N.J. on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.

H. Hanaway of Summit, retired Union detective

Services for former Township Police Department Detective Harry Hanaway of Summit will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the Restlaand Memorial Park Chapel, East Hanover. Arrangements are by Smith and Smith (Suburban). 415 Morris Ave., Springfield.

He died Monday in Overlook Hospital, Summit. Mr. Hanaway was a detective with the Union Township Police force for 25 years retiring in 1954. After his retirement he was a school crossing guard in Summit for the past 17 years. He was a member of the PBA Local 69 of Union. Born in Newark, he lived in Union before moving to Summit 17 years ago. Surviving are his daughter Audrey E. Hanaway, and five sisters, Mrs. Edna McElhose, Mrs. Vivian Zukswert, Mrs. Hattie Owens, Mrs. Lillian Bury and Mrs. Lorraine Fentress.
