Winfield Arose Dies Suddenly

Winfield Arose, proprietor of the Sunoco Service Station at the foot of Broad St. In Keyport, passed away suddenly yesterday morning at his home in Cliffwood Beach. He was 50 years old.

Mr. Arose was born in Keyport and graduated from Keyport schools. Before World War II he was employed in the Hercules Powder Co. In Parlin and was well known for his activities in local aviation. He served with distinction for four years in World War II in the Air Corps. Since then he has been a Keyport businessman, in association with his father, the late William H. Arose and by himself after his father's death in 1966.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. William (Nina) Arose, with whom he lived, a sister Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Schanck, Matawan, and a brother, William, Jr., Hollywood, Fla.

Funeral services will be announced by the Bedle Funeral Home, Keyport.
