Funeral services were held Monday for William Arose, 513 Main St., South Amboy, who died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1965. The Rev. Edward R. Cook, rector of Christ Church, Episcopal, South Amboy, conducted the funeral services at 10 a.m. at the Gundrum Service, Home for Funerals, 237 Bordentown Ave. Interment was in Christ Church Cemetery.

Mr. Arose retired as master mechanic at Chesebrough-Pond plant in Perth Amboy eight years ago. He had been with the firm for 42 years.

Mr. Arose was the husband of the late Anna (Condon) Arose. Born in Keyport, he had resided in South Amboy for 42 years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Vivian Mayer, Sayreville; Mrs. Claire Kline and Mrs. Mary Jane Harkins, South Amboy; also a son, Richard S., South Amboy; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
