Obits - NJ - Monmouth - 1920 - Mrs. Emma (Arose) White
|
Mrs. Emma White, widow of Alonzo White, died at the home of her son, George
White, in Freehold on May 9th after an illness of two weeks, aged 77 years.
Funeral services were held from her late home Wednesday afternoon with Rev.
W. F. Atkinson officiating. Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery. Besides the
son with whom she lived, Mrs. White is survived by the following sons:
William of Keyport, Charles of Walkhill, N. Y., Walter, Dr. Augustus R.,
Borden C. and Percy White of Freehold. Two sisters, Mrs. Woodhull Rogers and
Mrs. Clarence White of Asbury Park and two brothers, Carmen and Henry Arose
of Keyport also survive. Another son, Alonzo White, Jr., of Matawan passed
away on December 30, 1919.
Mrs. White was the daughter of Jeremiah Arose of Matawan. She was married
March 27, 1862 and she and Mr. White celebrated their golden anniversary in
1912. Mr. White died in 1915.
