New Jersey Obituaries - 1908 - Charles Petry
The funeral of Charles Petry, aged sixty-nine years, who died yesterday
following an illness of two weeks, will be held from his late residence, 44 Jersey Street on Thursday
afternoon at 2 o'clock. He was an employee of the John A. Roebling's Sons' Company, where he worked for
the past nineteen y ears. Interment will be made in the Riverview Cemetery, under the direction of
Mr. Petry was a prominent member of Star of Bethlehem lodge and Castle No 68, Knights of the Golden
Eagle, and members of these lodges have also been invited to attend his funeral.
Besides his widow, one son, Jacob Petry, and five daughters survive him. They are: Mrs. Phillip
Roth, Mrs. Rosetta Arendt, Mrs. William Hildebrecht, Mrs. Frederick Sandhoff and Mrs. Charles Pope.
Petry - In Trenton, NJ on the 20th inst. Jacob J. Petry, in the 69th year of his age.
The relatives and friends of the family, also Star of Bethlehem Castle 68, K.G.E., and the employees of John A. Roebling's Sons Company rope shop are invited to attend the funeral from his late residence. No. 44 Jersey Street, on Thursday afternoon at 2 9'clock. Interment at Riverview Cemetery.
