Obituaries - NJ - 1902 - Mrs. Jane (Gravatt) Britton


Mrs. Jane Britton, widow of Abraham Britton of Sweetmans, near Freehold, died at her home at Trenton last Wednesday, aged 51 years. Death was due to pneumonia. She leaves two children, Mrs. James Taylor of Hamilton Square, and Mrs. John Perran of Trenton. Four sisters and a brother also survive her. They are Mrs. D. G. Clayton of Adelphia, John R. Gravatt of near Spotswood, Mrs. Rainbert Ely of near Freehold, Mrs. Curtis Forman of Sweetmans, and Mrs. Daniel Parker of Freehold. Mrs. Britton was a daughter of the late Samuel Gravatt of Millstone township. Her brother, William Gravatt, was killed in a runaway accident near Cassville the day before her death.
