Mrs. Elizabeth Bennett, widow of William Bennett of Poplar, died last Wednesday, aged 78 years. She had been in failing health for several years. Seven children survive her. They are Mrs. Adam Bower and Crawford and John Bennett of Oakhurst, William Bennett, Jr., of Asbury Park, and Misses Sarah and Lavinia Bennett, who live at home. She leaves also several grandchildren.

The funeral was held at half-past one o'clock on Friday and was conducted by Rev. J. W. Morris. The body was buried at West Long Branch.
