Obituaries - NJ - 1902 - Louisa Mytinger
|
Louisa, daughter of Mrs. Anna Mytinger of Shrewsbury avenue, died of diphtheria on Friday, aged eleven years. She attended the Shrewsbury avenue school and was taken sick about two weeks ago while at school. She went home but returned to school in order to take a test in spelling. She was again taken sick and had to take to her bed but it was thought that she was improving and would recover; but this hope proved unfounded.
Louisa was a bright child and was an apt pupil. She was a favorite with her schoolmates and teachers. She was a member of the Baptist Sunday-school and of the Christian Association chapel. She was to have taken part in the Christmas entertainments at both churches and at school, but on account of her sickness she was unable to do so.
Louisa leaves two younger brothers. They are Kenneth and Lee Mytinger. The funeral was held on Sunday at nine o'clock. Rev. William B. Matteson officiated and the body was buried in Fair View cemetery . The floral offerings were numerous.
