New Jersey Obituaries - 1902 - Mrs. Annie Smith McClane

Mrs. Annie Smith McClane, widow of Sidney McClane, died on Saturday night at her home on Maple avenue at Red Bank, aged 73 years. Her death was due to heart disease.
Mrs. McClane was a daughter of Joseph Smith. She was born in Middletown township and lived there until last spring, when she moved to Red Bank. Her husband died about 26 years ago. Three children survive her. They are Mrs. Joseph Applegate and Miss Caroline S. McClane of Red Bank, and Henry C. McClane of Middletown township. Mrs. McClane was one of the original members of the Red Bank Baptist church.
The funeral was held yesterday at half-past one o'clock at the house. Rev. W. B. Matteson conducted the service, assisted by Rev. J. K. Manning of Trenton. The pall bearers were F. T. Hays, John Sutton, Joseph Hendrickson, William W. Conover, Joseph T. Field and J. Trafford Allen. The body was buried in the family plot in Fair View cemetery.
