|
Mrs. Ellen W. (Conover) Schenck, wife of Lafayette S. Schenck, who lives near Freehold, died suddenly of heart disease on Friday night a week ago. She was alone in her room at the time and her death was not discovered until some one went to her room on Saturday morning to call her. Mrs. Schenck was a daughter of the late Judge Charles H. Conover. Her mother is still living. She was born at the Conover homestead at Marlboro in 1842. In 1864 she was married to Lafayatte S. Schenck, who lives on a farm between Marlboro and Freehold. Beside a husband she leaves one child, Charles Schenck. Two sisters and a brother also survive her. They are Mrs. John P. Walker of Freehold, Mrs. W. H. Fisher of Santiago, California, and Frank B. Conover of Asbury Park.
