New Jersey Obituaries - 1902 - Ella E. (Rattigan) Reardon

Ella E. (Rattigan), wife of Edward F. Reardon of Passaic and daughter of James Rattigan of Catherine street, Red Bank, died at Passaic on Tuesday of last week, aged thirty years. Mrs. Reardon had been sick about two months . On the day of her death she underwent an operation but this did not prove successful.

Mrs. Reardon has been married six years. Her husband survives her and she leaves also two children. They are Joseph F., aged five years, and Edward J., aged two months. She leaves also four sisters and a brother. They are Mrs. Daniel A. McCarthy of Shrewsbury avenue, Red Bank; and Misses Hanna, Katherine and Margaret Rattigan and John Rattigan, who live at home.

Mrs. Reardon was well known at Red Bank and her death came as a great blow to her relatives and friends both at Red Bank and at her home at Passaic. The remains were brought to the home of her parents on Thursday and the funeral was held at St. James’s church on Friday afternoon. The body was buried in Mt. Olivet cemetery at Headden’s Corner.
