Obituaries - NJ - 1901 - Maxillian Boo
|
Maxillian Boo, formerly a saloon keeper at Freehold, died in the Masonic home at Burlington on Monday of last week, aged 62 years. Death was due to liver complaint and a general breaking down of his health. Mr. Boo was born in Switzerland and came to this country when a young man. He was a miller by trade and worked in the Muhlenbrink mill at Colt's Neck and in Taylor's mill at Holmdel. Later he bought out a saloon business at Freehold and conduted(sic) it about seven years. He again engaged in the mill business and ran the Oakland mill near Milhurst and Bergen's mill near Manalapan. At the latter place he became very feeble and about three months ago the Masonic lodge of Freehold, of which he was a member, sent him to the Masonic home. Mr. Boo married Mary E. Sickles, daughter of Robert Sickles of Vanderburg. She survives him and lives at Perth Amboy with her daughter, Mrs. Jacob Roth. Another daughter, Mrs. Thomas Roberts, lives at Robertsvile.
