Miss Mary E. Magee, daughter of Edward P. Magee of Atlantic Highlands, died on Saturday of consumption, aged seventeen years. She contracted a cold while skating last winter and the cold developed into consumption. Previous to that time she enjoyed the best of health. She was a member of the Atlantic Highlands church and of the Methodist Sunday-school. She had always lived at Atlantic Highlands and was very popular among the young people of the place. Besides a father and mother she leaves a sister, Miss Viola Magee, and two brothers, Alfred and George Magee, all of whom live at Atlantic Highlands.

The funeral was held on Monday afternoon at the house and was conducted by Rev. Samuel Sargent. The body was buried at Bay View cemetery. The bearers were Vere Valleau, George Walling, Albert Zebley, Arthur Johnson, William Bowne and Nimrod Nason.
