Obituaries - NJ - 1901 - Vinton H. Havens, Jr.

Vinton H. Havens, Jr., son of Vinton H. Havens, Sr., of the Highlands, died suddenly on Wednesday at Renssalear,
New York. Death was due to convulsions, with which he was stricken only a few hours before his death. He was
employed on bridge work at Albany by James DuBois, the contractor who built the new pier at Atlantic Highlands.
Mr. Havens was 28 years old and was born at the Highlands. He was an expert telegrapher, having been employed
for a number of years with his father in the government marine observation station at the Highlands. About four
years ago he married Georgianna Miller of Atlantic Highlands. She survives him and he also leaves a son, aged
three years. The funeral was held on Saturday at the home of his parents and the body was buried in Bay View
cemetery.
