Thomas B. Minton of Fair Haven died on Sunday of cancer, aged 57 years. About ten years ago Mr. Minton had a cancer removed from his lip and it was thought that he was permanently cured. A year ago cancers broke out on his neck and although he doctored continually it was impossible to effect a cure.

Mr. Minton was a carpenter by occupation. He was a member of the Fair Haven Methodist church and a charter member of the American Mechanics lodge of that place. A wife and five children survive him. He leaves also four brothers, David, Henry and Joel Minton of Fair Haven and Robert Minton of Oceanic. The funeral was held at the house at two o'clock this afternoon and was in charge of Rev. Jacob Leuppie. The body was buried in the Little Silver burying ground.
