|
Isaac T. Smith, aged nine years, only son of Mary and Garrett Smith of Borden street, died of diphtheria last Wednesday. He had been sick about ten days. He attended the Mechanic street school and was also a member of St. James's Sunday-school. He was an unusually bright boy and was a favorite with his playmates. The funeral was held at the house at half-past three o'clock on Friday. Rev. James A. Reynolds preached the sermon. Many floral tributes were sent by the school and friends. The body was buried in Mount Olivet cemetery at Headden's Corner.
