Matthew Covert, a son of the late James Covert of Wayside, died last week at the state asylum at Trenton. The funeral was held at the Wayside Methodist church on Tuesday of last week and was conducted by the Grand Army, of which organization Mr. Covert was a member. Mr. Covert leaves a widow and several children who live at Tinton Falls. Mr. Covert became insane two years ago or so and attempted to commit suicide in the woods at that time.
