Lewis White of Red Bank, father of Dr. Charles H. White of Shrewsbury, died on Thursday at Milliard F. Many's residence on Borden street, where he had lived since the death of his wife last February. Death was due to inflammation of the bowels. He was 93 years old, but until his last sickness he was very active for one of his age and was able to go about.

Mr. White was born at Turkey. The early part of his life was spent in farming in Middletown township. Nearly fifty years ago he gave up farming and had since lived a retired life at Red Bank. His last place of residence previous to his wife's death was on Herbert street. Both Mr. and Mrs. White had been identified with the Red Bank Presbyterian church for nearly half a century and always lived up to their religious profession.

Three children were born to Mr. and Mrs. White but the only surviving child is Dr. Charles H. White of Shrewsbury. The others were Larue N. White, who died about eight years ago, and Miss Fannie White. The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon at the home of his son and was conducted by Rev. W. N. Baily, rector of Christ church of Shrewsbury. The body was buried at Fair View cemetery. The bearers were Theodore F. Sniffen, William T. Corlies, William J. Sickles and Thomas L. Davis.
