Dr. Jacob A. Sherman of Plainfield, father of Alex Sherman of Freehold and a former resident of that place, died of Bright's disease on Monday, April 29th, aged 81 years. Dr. Sherman was a hernia specialist and had practiced in both Europe and America. He acquired a large fortune by his skill but through misfortune he lost most of it. he leaves a widow and six children.
