Obituaries - NJ - 1901 - Stephen B. Conover
Stephen B. Conover of New York, a former resident of Navesink, died on Friday of general
debility, aged 81 years. He was at one time engaged in the grocery business at Navesink
with the late George H. Sickles. He married Deborah Johnson, daughter of Captain William
Johnson of Navesink. She died three years ago. After being at Navesink a short time, Mr.
Conover went to New York to engage in the commission business. For the past fifteen years
he had been totally blind. The body was buried in Fair View cemetery at Headden's corner on
Monday. Rev. J. W. Nickelson of Navesink conducted the burial service.
