Obituaries - NJ - 1901 - John T. Longstreet

John T. Longstreet of Spring street died this morning of Bright's disease, aged 47 years. He was taken sick with the disease last
October. The funeral will be held at the house on Friday afternoon at two o'clock and the burial will be at the West Long Branch
cemetery.
Mr. Longstreet was born at Deal and was a farmer by occupation. About twelve years ago he obtained employment with the Ocean Grove
association. Four years later, while in the association's employ, he was injured in the leg and had not been able to work since. He
was unmarried and leaves three sisters and two brothers. They are James Longstreet, William H. Longstreet, and Mrs. Alice Strickland
of Red Bank, Theophilus Longstreet of Long Branch and Mrs. David Patterson of Asbury Park.
