Wills - NJ - 1901 - Mrs. Mary A. Roberts

Mrs. Mary A. Roberts of Red Bank, wife of E. E. Roberts, who died may 16th, left a will which was probated last week. Besides her
husband Mrs. Roberts left two children, Caroline Maud Lee, a daughter by a former husband and E. Gerry Roberts. To her son Mrs.
Roberts left a mahogany stand and shaving glass that had belonged to her father and she also left him two diamond rings, a number
of trinkets, and a sum of money which she had deposited in a Brooklyn savings bank for him. Miss Lee got some mahogany furniture
which had belonged to Mrs. Roberts' mother, all her mother's clothing, all her diamonds and other jewelry except those
bequeathed to Gerry Roberts, some silverware, and all the money that was on deposit in another Brooklyn bank. A certain tin
box and contents were also bequeathed to Miss Lee. A house and lot at No. 118 Hoyt street, Brooklyn, was bequeathed to Miss
Lee, and the house and lot on Union street, Red Bank, was bequeathed to Miss Lee and Gerry Roberts as joint owners. A gold
watch and pin and a bookcase was given to Mrs. Roberts' sister, Julia V. Stevens, and all the rest of her property was ordered
divided equally between the two children. The two children were also named as executors of the will. Mrs. Roberts made the will
November 3d of last year. The witnesses were Sarah T. Allen and Edmund Wilson.
