Peter Thomas of Manalapan died last Wednesday. He was 86 years old and his death was due to a general breaking down of his health. He was born at Dutch Neck, but had lived at Manalapan for the past twenty years. He was twice married. His first wife was Achsah Ely, by whom he had five children. One of these children, Joshua W. Thomas, lives at Branchport, and another, Mrs. Joseph C. Barkalow, lives at Asbury Park. His second wife was Sarah Hampton. She survives him but he leaves no children by his second wife. He was a brother of William H. Thomas of Freehold.
