Obituaries - NJ - 1901 - Mrs. Catherine (Cook) Norcross

Mrs. Catherine Norcross died on Saturday night of cancer of the liver at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Kellum of Broad street.
She had been sick for over a year and was taken seriously sick just after Christmas. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at
Lakewood at the home of her brother, John H. Cook. Yesterday morning, before the body was taken to Lakewood, a few friends met at
the house and a prayer was offered by Rev. E. C. Hancock.
Mrs. Norcross was born at Lakewood and had lived there all her life until about a year ago, when she came to Red Bank and lived with
her daughters, Mrs. Martha Burr and Mrs. Frank Kellum. She had been a member of the Baptist church of Lakewood for over thirty years
and left a large circle of friends there. The two daughters are her only children. Her mother is still living and is 83 years old.
Mrs. Norcross was 58 years old.
