Mrs. James (Anna E. Pillion) Rowe Dead
She Died At Brookdale Farm On Saturday
Her Death Was Due to Paresis and She Had Been Sick Over a Year
Mrs. Anna E. Rowe, wife of James Rowe of Brookdale farm, died on Saturday of paresis, aged 36 years. She had been in failing health for about a year and a half. Her maiden name was Pillion and her home before her marriage was at Hartford, Connecticut. A husband and two sons survive her.
The funeral was held yesterday morning at St. James's church at Red Bank. Rev. James A. Reynolds had charge of the service, and he was assisted by three other priests. One of the priests who assisted was Father Quinn of Hartford. The casket was one of the handsomest ever used in Monmouth county. It was of hand-carved mahogany and was lined throughout with tufted satin. The floral offerings were handsome and there was such a quantity of them that two carriages were required to convey them to the cemetery. The body was placed in a vault in Fair View cemetery. Six porters from New York acted as bearers.
