Taylor Perinchief Drowned
Rev. Percy Perinchief's Young Son Drowned at Brielle
Taylor Perinchief, aged five years, son of Rev. Percy Perinchief of Trenton, a former pastor of the Methodist churches at
Little Silver and Atlantic Highlands, was drowned last Wednesday afternoon at Brielle, where the family is spending the
summer. Mr. Perinchief and his older children went out fishing in a boat on the Manasquan river. Taylor went to the shore
with them, but he was thought too young to make the trip and he was sent back to the house. After the party returned from
fishing Taylor was missed. A search was made for him and his dead body was found in a creek a short distance from the house.
He had returned to the house and then started out fishing alone. His line was found caught in a tree that overhung the creek
and it is thought that he fell into the water while trying to untangle the line from the tree The body was taken to Mt. Holly
for burial.
