Henry B. Barnes of Oak Shades, near Matawan, died of consumption on Sunday of last week. He was born in North Carolina and came North many years ago. He started a barber shop and pool room at Oak Shades, and conducted it for many years. His height was 6 ½ feet and he was known as "Shorty" Barnes. He was 38 years old and leaves a widow and one child.
