Stricken While at Dinner
James H. Riddle, an inmate of the soldiers' home at Kearney, was stricken with apoplexy while at dinner at the union of the 29th regiment of New Jersey at Keyport on Wednesday. He was taken to the home of John Thorn, where he died a few days later. Mr. Riddle was born at Vanderburg, near Holmdel. He was a member of Company G., commanded by Capt. John Henry Heyer of Holmdel. Mr. Riddle had once before been stricken with paralysis.
