Obits - NJ - 1900 - Charles Henry Glassy

Charles Henry Glassy of Leighton avenue died of consumption on Monday morning. He was the son of Thomas
Glassy and was twenty years old. He was born in Cassville, Ocean county, but his parents moved to Red
Bank when he was two years old and he had lived here ever since. After leaving school he worked for a time
with his father who is a well-digger, and he afterward learned the carpenter trade. Both his parents are
living and he also leaves three sisters and five brothers. The sisters are Mrs. Frank Finkle of Beach
street, Mrs. Wesley Patten of Leighton avenue and Mrs. William Mansen of Locust avenue. His brothers,
George, Robert, Thomas, Frank and Jerome, all live at home. The funeral was held at the house this
afternoon and the service was conducted by Rev. E. C. Hancock, The burial was at Fair View cemetery.
